The hotel is located in the heart of the garden city of Dornbirn in Vorarlberg. It is just a few minutes from this conference and business hotel to Dornbirns historic city centre with its old market square, the landmark Rotes Haus (Red House) and its many museums, both historical and contemporary. Austrias first architecture-led hotel is characterised by clear lines and exclusive materials. With the use of simple, natural materials, fused with modern art, the duo of architects Carlo Baumschlager and Dietmar Eberle have set a new standard in design. Upon entering the foyer, guests come upon a colossal pink bucket, filled second by second with steady drops of water from the ceiling. The themes manifested in this sculpture, named Irritation im Sekundentakt (Irritation by the Second) by Dornbirn artist Wolfgang Flatz, are seamlessly picked out and continued by the waterfall on the outer wall of the hotel restaurant. The hotel comprises a total of 98 guest rooms and offers a wide range of amenities, including 24-hour reception and check out, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, lift access and a hairdressing salon. In addition to this, there is a café, a bar, conference facilities, WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services and a garage on site. The guest rooms stand out due to a combination of well targeted use of materials and a contemporary understanding of form. All rooms and apartments are appointed in modern style and feature a flat-screen TV, WLAN Internet access and a minibar. An en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, a hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, a direct dial telephone, a radio and a safe also come as standard. The rooms are all air-conditioned and heated. Every detail at the hotel has been thought out meticulously in line with the highest standards in modern design. Each of the rooms and apartments features its own individual butterfly motif, created by the artist Ingmar Alge Junior.
